Pope Benedict slams entire UK gay community

The Pope has announced that he will be visiting the UK during his world tour, according to the official statement issued by the Vatican. His visit will cost the tax payer a reported £20 million… Which, if you live in the UK, you will be part of paying regardless of what you think about religion. Following this announcement, Ze Pope felt it prudent to express his disgust and displeasure at Harriet Harman’s proposed Equality Bill, a bill which would introduce stronger equality legislation for gay men and women.
A letter containing a series of disgusting and embarrassing comments from the Pope to British Catholic Bishops has been made public, and among the many opinions the Pope expressed about the UK, this one stood out… “In some respects it actually violates the natural law upon which the equality of all human beings is grounded and by which it is guaranteed.”
Now, there are many faults to be found in the letter, and this quote in particular… I guess the first should always be the most obvious as that always seems to get the ball rolling. If at any point during the 1930/40s you were a member of the Nazi Party, you have absolutely no right to talk about equality or natural laws. I realise that Pope Benedict would have you believe that he was an unwilling member of the Hitler Youth, which may or may not be the case, but you can bet your bottom dollar that he wasn’t denouncing his membership at the time (he was with the Hitler Youth from 41 to 45)… He was a member of a group who are the embodiment of evil and bigotry, now he leads a group of people who look to him for spiritual and moral guidance, and while there is no final solution set forth yet, he is pushing the same bigotry and intolerance that the Nazi party did. It is also important that we keep in mind that the Catholic Church has long been accused of protecting child molesting priests who are given the freedom and resources to continue with their sickening acts of rape and sodomy against innocent, young members of the church.
Veteran gay rights activist Peter Tatchell of the group Outrage! feels that the Popes position that gay people shouldn’t be allowed the same rights and freedoms as straight people… Or, more to the point, Catholics suggests that he genuinely believes that his church is above the law.
That hand gesture could send the wrong message Pope... It's not the 40s now.
If this disturbing tale proves anything, it is that the Church, the religion and indeed the Pope himself need to be dragged into the modern world… Kicking and screaming if needs be. The Pope should be reminded that intolerance and bigotry can’t be preached alongside Jesus and the Bible, a book which clearly states “love your enemy” and “love all men”… Make of that last one what you wish. Adding exemptions to a book of rules that has been shaping morality and society since it was first published in 1380 is completely redundant, it doesn’t say “love all men… Unless they’re gay”. This is an example of the worst kind of hypocrisy. The Catholics are not the first people to interpret a holy text to fit their own agenda, and they won’t be the last but the more Pope Benedict blasts human beings for something that is entirely personal, as personal as which God (if any) that you follow, the more the younger, more tolerant generations will distance themselves from the church. The Pope doesn’t have sex, so why should he have such an opinion on other peoples sexual orientation? In any argument one thing is true, and constant throughout… Without first hand knowledge, you can’t have an opinion… That is just the way it is.
Asking the British public to foot the bill to bring the Pope here is unfair. Unfair to “non-believers”, gay people and whoever else the Pope deems evil. If the British Catholic Church wishes to extend an invite to a man who would publicly denounce an entire group of people based on his own blatant self loathing, then I think it is only fair that they cover the cost…

Pretty tough talk from a religious leader that harbors/protects homosexual pedophiles if you ask me.. My best guess is that this guy is really a republican in a fancy dress

HH- Congratulations on both a funny and factual title. Weird mental pictures now! What is funny is that the pope protects his own that commit homosexual acts…but only on boys under 16! Hmmmmmm! What it is that I dont understand is that homosexuality has been around since the beginning of time, women were for breading and men for having fun…why is it not excepted as normal yet?! In fact this article has inspired me to begin my bi-sexual adventure, because hell if the pope says its wrong then I am all for it, just like I am all for contraception! Brillantly informative and humerous as always Henry! Bringing religion and politics to the masses! Bravo!

o Clarification regarding the Unemployment Tiers | Senate Must Act Now!
2 Feb 2010
There is an extreme amount of confusion and worry regarding the unemployment compensation benefits both, regular and emergency extensions. The main point of confusion is due to the wishy-washy behavior regarding pending legislation in part, if not in whole, via Republican Party’s firm stance of seeing both this administration and economy fail.
