Case modification is the modification of a PC case. Modifying a computer-case in any non-standard way is considered a case mod. Some folks, including hardware hobbyists, use casemods to demostrate a pc's capabilities, and for looks. Modded personal computers may be often encountered at gaming competitions where their modders showcase them. Case modding is also about self expression and showing what you are capable of, some casemods are fabricated around a motif.
