Some folks, including hardware enthusiasts, use case mods to demostrate a computer's capabilities, and for aesthetic purposes. Modded personal computers may be sometimes found at LAN parties where their owners showcase them. Modding is also about creativity and demonstrating what you are capable of, some casemods are built around a vision.
